We are Die Lustigen Musikanten (pronounced Dee Loose'-Tee-Gun Moose-Ee-Kahn'-Ten), which translates into The Happy Musicians. We are a traditional German band based in Columbia, SC; our instrumentation consists of an accordian, 2 flugelhorns, 2 trumpets, 4 clarinets, 1 trombone, 1 baritone, 1 tenor horn, 2 tubas, and 1 drummer (See our member listing). We play authentic German marches, polkas, and waltzes - our sheet music comes straight from Germany, obtained by one of our former members while he was living in Germany. We play at parties, receptions, festivals, etc., and we also enjoy playing at retirement communities. Take a look at our schedule.
